Preface:On February 23, Mr. Leo Lin, CEO of aitos.io, delivered a speech at Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2021 . blockchain was one of the major themes of this year’s MWC Shanghai show as a series of blockchain-themed sessions were held to explore the value-added path ahead for blockchain technology adoption. Leo’s arousing speech, delivered on the MWC Leaders Stage detailed how the BoAT blockchain application framework connects with enterprises in the value chain, integrates with vertical industry applications of the Internet of Things, creates strong synergies with joint innovation power of Blockchain + Internet of Things , and detonates an exclusive level of data market trustworthiness.
Hello everyone! I am Leo Lin of aitos.io. Let me take this chance to state that I am very fortunate to be able to share some of the activities aitos.io is engaged in, helping to "create a trusted data base while also engaged in exploring the closed loop nature of innovative business" for our audience of industry experts today at this blockchain-themed conference at MWC.
aitos.io is laser-focused on the integration and innovation of Blockchain and Internet of Things technologies, to brownfield more and more IoT devices with the ability to access blockchain services quickly, thus enabling Internet of Things devices to safely access the cloud to concurrently achieve trusted data on the chain. Uploading data to the cloud represents the first half of data’s life cycle, by helping to acknowledging its collection and processing in order to unearth the value of the data collected. Once on chain, the latter half of data’s life cycle is achieved from openness and exchange of data value through blockchain and privacy-preserving computing, thereby truly forming a business closed loop for data.
Our BoAT blockchain application framework runs over an Internet of things platform and has been jointly launched by embedding our middleware soluiton into and with cooperation from both IoT chipset and module manufacturers. These IoT devices integrate and build-in IoT modules and chips with our BoAT solution to enhance the ability to trust data on chain and invoke smart contracts.
Today's integrated innovation comes not only from technology integration, but also the blessings from openness and cooperation between various ecosystems. In December 2019, aitos.io and Wanxiang Blockchain jointly invited nine domestic mainstream cellular IoT module manufacturers to jointly launch a Blockchain IoT Module Alliance, and successively released their provisioned versions of their modules embedded with our BoAT blockchain application framework. Today, WanXiang Blockchain and aitos.io officially announce their collective joining of the RISC-V Foundation as strategic members. At the same time, we launched a new blockchain SIG in RISC-V Foundation to carry out in-depth cooperation with the RISC-V technology community. This will allows maximum optimization of our BoAT blockchain application framework for the RISC-V instruction set and chip architecture, and give us the momentum to accelerate the access and application of blockchain services with Internet of Things devices, and build a trusted Internet of Things data base that is open around the value of data.
In the context of accelerating the digital transformation of the entire industry, how to help the traditional IoT industry lower the barriers to entry into blockchain applications, quickly transform the original business scenarios to connect with blockchain technology, and make the traditional IoT industry more focused on industry applications The exploration of the business model combined with the blockchain will be a track full of opportunities and challenges. To this end, as described earlier, we embrace the universality of BoAT blockchain chips and modules to carry the data’s on-chain function of IoT devices, and fully appreciate the rapid transformation effect on the device side. We provide trusted data on-chain and data storage with the value of provenance for IoT applications, allowing data from IoT applications with seamless connectivity along with trusted transmission from the blockchain to be used to integrate with various IoT use cases. This generates new opportunities for data value creation.
During The 6th Annual WanXiang Blockchain International Week last October, Wanxiang Blockchain and aitos.io jointly released the BoAT+PlatONE IoT data empowerment platform for Blockchain IoT Modules Alliance members. and their enterprise customers from various IoT verticals. We launched an end-to-end open capability platform of IoT + Blockchain ecosystem. This “BoAT+PlatONE IoT Data Empowerment Platform”, based on the Wanxiang blockchain and aitos.io’s BoAT blockchain application framework, enables the traditional IoT industry to quickly transform existing vertical market use cases to implement “blockchain plus” pilot projects. With this empowerment platform, customers from the Internet of Things industry will experience accelerated data speeds, less difficulty & cost to integrate blockchain technology with existing Internet of Things business use cases, and enhance the building of blockchain applications to expand business opportunities.
At present, there are already numerous examples of our BoAT solution being implemented in application use cases, such as battery (charging) asset management, used vehicle residual value management systems, and customer projects in multiple business vertical use cases, such as biological assets of the cattle farm networks (Animal Husbandry), which are live applications.
It is my desire to engage with IoT industry experts and business representatives that are listening to this speech today to achieve the integration around the two ecosystems of IoT and blockchain, and promote innovation while exploring the value of data.

In November, aitos.io became a empowerment partner of Microsoft’s AI and IoT Lab . In August 2020, aitos.io transitioned into Tencent’s Blockchain Accelerator program as the first member. In February 2021, aitos.io joined RISC-V International as strategic member and initiated to form new Blockchain SIG (special interest group).
